These are my tanks when they were lovely and new.. before the fish and turtles lol :)

What size filter and tank do you have for the turtles?

It is big enough.. I don't know the exact size, its only a bit cloudy because the other filter broke and its not quite cleared up yet.. it was beautiful and clear before then.. they're such messy eaters too lol :p

It's typically asked for 3 times the tanks size for the filter. So if you had a 20 gallon you should get a 60 gallon filter
 
It's best to remove the turtles to a container for feeding. That way the tank stays cleaner for longer.

I tried that but they won't eat in a container.. I don't mind a little extra cleaning if they're happy.. had them for over a year and they're doing just fine :)
