New tank 12g

This is my first tank. I will change things up in 6 months to keep fish intrigued and happy. Keep in mind I'm just starting out

6-neon tetras
6-glow light tetras

Thanks. I chose to start with fake plants so that I would have less potential issues to deal with. Once the tank is fully cycled I will get some tasteful plants in there and make it 4 real

They looked almost real to me... I've never had real plants in mine was too affaid it would be messier... I have recently threw in some bulbs to grow

Almost real lol. Yeah they are silk and actually look good and feel soft to the touch. The fish and shrimp like them a lot! Gives them some privacy and a place to hide.
