I thought I would start a thread to show off pictures of pictus catfish. Many people don't care for them because they have such large mouths and can eat many smaller fish, but I think they are beautiful.

Thanks. I think they are very unique looking. I would like to have a few more when I upgrade to a bigger aquarium.

I don't have Pictish catfish but I think they are pretty neat looking right now I have some synodontis catfish and they are so funny to watc swim upside down

Mine use to run up the sides like that but after I put a few fake logs in there, they stay in the log and paces back and forth.

Mine has a little cave like place under my driftwood that he hangs out in most of the time. I waited for a time where he left to get the pic.

Beware of the pictus and it's fins. I was redecorating because someone had given be a nice castle, and the little bastard fined me. I was getting some roots and leaves out of my tank that had broken off when I moved things around. It got between my hand and the wall and in his hasty getaway thrashed back and forth and poked me several times.

Haha I guess I know who is boss now.

Nice pics guys..I have 4 pimelodus in a 55 and they never hide. Everyone loves them. But to fast to take a pic of. daughter snaged this for me. only them 4 and a u/d cat in the tank.
