No, not a halfmoon. The tail edges are rounded and that is not a 180 degree tail spread. It looks more like a roundtail to me. A halfmoon tail should look like a D - with distinct corners to the edges of the tail.

Omg my Betta has that short of grey/red/brown splotch on his head and I always thought it was like a sickness but then people said it was just his coloring. Could it be? Here's a pic:

Yea he's fine dragons have that and armadillos do to. They're just regular splendens with shiny scales that aren't as bright as dragons. That's a beautiful betta though!!!

Hi everyone! I got a Beautiful new boy tonight, and have a quick question on do dividing a 10g tank.

What is the best way to do it? The tank is currently home to a single male Betta.

Thanks! I will have a picture later! I tired to get one here in the car, but it didn't come out that well.

You can get a ready made divider that can just slip into the tank, or you can make one with craft mesh and the little holders for plastic report covers. These are usually held in place with clips, but the best way to do it would be to silicone them into the tank. However that means draining and drying the tank, then letting the silicone cure for a couple days before refilling.

He r e is my halfmoon spot, he's still recovering from fin rot but I'm hoping the new 20 long will help as opposed to the 10 he was in before.
