Hello, my fellow AquariumAdvice members, new member here. Thank you for having me. My name is Mark, and I am an avid discus fan in Washington DC. Are there any fellow discus fanatics in this community? I would like to share with everyone my new "friends" I got back in July this year.

This past summer, I decided to give wild discus a shot, and I purchased a handful of wild-caught specimens from discus.com for my 120g. As you can probably tell, they are the yellow-faced wild Mari-Mari variety. They differ greatly from the blue-faced Nhamunda strain, and you can tell by the facial coloration and patterning.

Excellent looking fish there. I have a few mixed with my domestics.
