Wild corals and other critters

Thought I would post some of my photos from diving various places.

The last picture was of black coral (it appears white when alive) and was shot at over 120'

I live in Missouri. We are a long way from any coral except that in my tanks.

Those shrimp were very tiny. I remember there were hundreds of them in about the area of a dinner plate.

Back in my fish collecting days in the FL Keys, there was a field of atlantic carpet anemones by the old 7mile bridge with each one housing a pair of these shrimp. As you swam by them, they all started waving their antennas announcing that they were their to clean you. It was always quite a site. I used to let them play with my fingers lol

Thanks, they are all shot with film with a housed Nikon system and a strobe the size of your head. It was a challenge to push it thru the water. I am going this summer to shoot my first digital underwater. The new UW digital camera is the size of a ham sandwich. Have been out of the sport because of work for a few years. Looking forwards to it, but kind of afraid what I will find. I hear the reefs I loved the most have suffered over the years I have been gone.

I think I want to go back to Cayman Brac. Little Cayman is then a short boat ride. Bloody Bay Wall is one of the wonders of the world to me.
