18 tall DIY sump

We're going to go w/ a sump for our 40gal long tank. We bought a 18 tall as a DIY sump. I'm enclosing a picture of how I'm thinking of sectioning off the tank/sump. I'd appreciate anyone's input of this might be a good idea or if anyene has a better idea/way of sectioning off the tank/sump.

I would use the entire center area for the fuge, not section it off. Other than that....it looks good.

You can really setup anyway you want. Just make sure the pump area has the lowest water level.
