Anyone use Krylon...

Hey, y'all!
I recently came into a Aqueon 15 column.
I cleaned it all up and painted her down.
I'm hoping to do an entire white scape (strange, I know).
Ive used Krylon Fusion in the past with no problems, like many.
However...
I want to paint my HEATER white as well.
Has anyone here ever painted their heater?
I know I could just slide the heater into a piece of PVC with holes drilled in it but I'd really like to paint the heater instead.
Thoughts/ questions/ concerns?

The paint will blister when the heater gets hot. Perhaps an inline heater outside of the tank?

I thought about an in line as I'm thinking of rigging an old canister to this lady.

Just put a piece of white PVC with some holes over the heater.
