To keep hot heaters from burning and hurting the fish and other creatures!

Anybody make any of these?

Dangers/pros/cons different designs/experiences?

Saw on the internet someone had made a case out of a needlepoint plastic mesh, since it comes in different colors, you can color coordinate to blend with your background!

It was pretty straight forward and said to cut it out larger than the heater so it doesn't touch the heater, as well as the bottom not touching. Sew up with fishing line or tiny zip ties.

I don't think heaters get very hot to start out with, at least not mine I think. I can touch it when it's on. But cool idea :)

Have had fish get a burn from heater probably matters whether is a 50W or 250W.

Really? Maybe the pocket is a good idea then :)

They make heater guards for reptiles and aquatic turtles. Like a plastic cover that the heater sits in to stop them touching it and burning themselves. I don't know the manufacturer but look for guards for amphibians I'm sure ull find them.
