Builing Tank Decor

I am looking to start building my own decor for my tanks.. I was wondering what kind of materials are suitable. IE.. Rocks, PVC, plastics etc... Any info would be much apprieciated!

Ceramic pots, PVC, slate that has not been chemically treated. Any rocks that are non-toxic and don't change your water chemistry.
