Had an overflow built out of 3/4 decided that I wanted more flow so I built one out of 1 inch. Now I need a bigger sump pump. It works much better.

I have a 135 gallon with 2 Eshopp overflows plumbed with 1" PVC and I have to keep my mag 950 throttles way down. How do these DIY overflows work? Anything to worry about?

The one I have works really well. Watch Uarujoey's video on YouTube. They are easy to build. Works great the pump I have now is only 240-300 gph and I need a bigger one. Just bought a 180 gallon tank and I will build a double overflow for it.

So after watching a couple videos I think I'm going to try and build one this next week. My tank is 135g with a mag950. You think 2 1 inch overflows will be enough? Where do you get the small check valves at? Do you glue them in?

Think if I build a single using 1.25" PVC it'd be enough flow to run my mag950 return fully open?

There are flow charts that can be going online. Can't remember the site. But it will tell you what you need to get a certain flow rate. But 1 1/4 should be good.
