Mehh, pre drilling is really the way to do it man..3" drywall screws are good , cheaper too

That's is the cheapest ones they had. I may have miss calculated the size of the support beams

That's fine, keep them tight to the top and put 4 screws in each, 2 a few inches from top and 2 few inches from bottom, no problem!

This is what I mean

Edit - you can't shift the bottom up? It's tough to tell from pic, is their a fancy cut in those? A notch?

Should I just split the difference and raise it like you said? I could add 2x4s under each one for support?

So instead of lower frame sitting on the floor, move it up the inch to close gap, or just move supports up the inch so gap is on bottom.

Okay I gotcha now. I can do that and I'll probable go back and get some more pieces of 48 1/2 and 15 1/2 to lay flat to hide all that. Would that work?

ya! Keep frame on floor, keep supports up tight, when you wrap it;) just "pad" it up and out your plywood shelf down, you can leave the space for now, just put 4 good screws in each support... Boom... Doneee... Fishhhhhh

How is this for the top part? It's not screwed in. The drill has to charge
