Diy above ground pond plans

I was wondering how deep an above ground pond would need to be? It will be just over 500 gallons with a bog filter and i was thinking dimensions of 5'x4'x3'. I live in southern california and the temperature ranges from around 40 deg f. In winter to 90-100 deg. In summer. The pond will be stocked with goldfish only maybe a few mosquito fish, would these plans work out if not what would need to change? Any advice is appreciated thank you!
