I decided to do a couple DIY decorations and decided to post some pics for ideas for anyone else who might be looking for ideas. I make a cave using silicone and glass beads from petsmart. All together I probably spent 12$ on the beads and silicone. I decided to buy silk hobby plants to DIY some silk plants. I could use aquarium safe rocks as a base to silicone them to but I didn't want to worry about buying any so as bases I decided to re-purpose other things I'm not using in the tank. The greenery is this awful fake plant I bought because it was cheap but the little points on the leaves are a bit sharp so my fish don't go near it I'm going to pull those off and use the base that goes under the gravel for my new silk plants. The light blue thing is the base from a hard rough nubby plastic coral I got, my fish don't like it either so I pulled the tops off and am siliconing the plants to the base.

Used an exacto knife to thin the links on the plants so I could stack more on the already made base so they are bushier.
