Hello everyone,

I"m in the process of starting a 10g planted scape and was planning to hook up a diy co2 to it. The tank will have no fauna til all of the carpeting plants are fully carpeted so would it be alright to have no filtration hooked up to the tank or would a bloom of bba occur due to the lack of circulation.

I honestly want to avoid the bba at all cost, experienced it once from my first diy trial months ago. Any tips on avoiding it?

thanks in adv.

My concern is that since there is no flow, that the CO2 won't be able to disperse as it would in a tank with some flow.
Why not add the filter, or even a small power head and let the tank cycle while you are waiting for the carpeting to finish?
