DIY cube aqaurium

im planning to build my own small cube aquarium over the summer.
what is better glass or acrylic? Pros cons? which sealant? how thick should the glass or acrylic be? step by step instructions for building the aquarium would be nice.

Glass won't scratch as easily, but if you drop it most likely it will shatter. if you use acrylic, it doesn't ussually shatter, but i scratched easily. sometimes with glass, there can be a green tint to the tank, but if you use acrylic, it will be crystal clear.
