DIY filter question.

I am in the process of making my self a secondary filter with a liquidized media bed using a plastic bottle and cut up straws, there was a label on the bottle which I peeled off and it came off clean but left a strip of glue on the side of the bottle, what is my best bet to get this off? i want to completely remove it since it is going in with my fish, and since it is going in with the fish I dont want to use anything too harsh to remove the glue.

Try rubbing it with peanut butter.

You should be fine using a tiny bit of goo gone or mineral spirits. Just make sure you wash the bottle off before putting in the tank.
