I need to build a light fixture for my 36l x 12w x 20 d 37 gallon tank. I've been informed, that, for the plants I would like to keep. A minimum of T5HO, Twin bulbs around 6700-10,000k are recommended. Now, I have looked at other pages and found useful info about lighting but, I am a newbie and need inspiration. Any photos, stories, tips anything is welcome :thanks::dance:

Look into cfl hoods on YouTube much cheaper than t5s

With 3 26watt cfl bulbs (100 watt incandescent replacement) you are at 78watts or a little over 2 watts per gal. If you need more add another bulb if you need less use 4 14watt bulbs and you'll have roughly 1.5 watt per gal.
