Ok.....i have read countless threads and seen some great ideas regarding diy pvc overflows. My aquarium budget is tight right now and i need to get my sump/fuge going. Trusting this community forum, what is the best diy pvc overflow design that i won't question my floor being flooded while at work? Pics would be great.

I'm trying out a stand-pipe right now for my basement sump system. I purchased a glass hole-saw on eBay for ten bucks and drilled a hole in the bottom myself, it wasn't nearly as difficult as it is hyped up to be. Then I just installed a bulkhead fitting into the hole and cut a peace of PVC to the correct height. If your willing to empty the tank out this cost me roughly 25$

good luck
