DIY Water Clarifier

Has anyone ever tried this? Did you make this project out of a water bottle like he said you can? If you have made this I would like to see pictures.

Its certainly a neat idea. Ideas like this have been around long time. Certainly has value. Alot of people are water test freaks. But fewer test there tap. Imo I think its a bit over kill. However, nothing wrong with being overly cautious. Im just not that guy.

One consideration would be all that medias affect on your trace elements. Especially the carbon. Hence why those with planted tanks who support wc do them is for the traces.
