fluval 305 converted to pvc and clear vinyl

hello...

sweety pie and i have changed our 55 gallon community tank to a dwarf and mainly ram tank. i have been running 2 fluval 305 canister filters on that particular tank and ive liked the flow from the returns and they kept the tank clean from poo. but the fish really didnt like having that much current in their home. so ive made the in and outs out of pvc reusing the stock strainer and then 12 inchs of vinyl to each for the aqua stop valve to the pvc. all pvc is 3/4 inch and vinyl is 3/4 inside diameter. great volume low pressure...

removed the factory screw locks from the aqua stop valve and just used hose clamps....works great no leaks.

mainly.... yes this can be done if you ever wondered.

Does the standard sized intake tube restrict flow, or do you get more suction around the strainer?
