help with odd sized tank

I'm planning on building my first diy aquarium (a little under 15 gallons). I've been looking around online and the only glass thickness guides I can find, don't really go into depth about other dimensions. Now the tank I want to build is going to be roughly 17 1/2 X 17 1/4 and 11 inches deep. Now with all that being said how thick should the glass be? I have some 3mm thick regular window glass that I salvaged from a garage door section. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
