I am planning on using fittings made of that material for a custom filtration setup in my tank. the specific fittings I am interested in using are for potable water and the manufaturer and product meets NSF/ANSI Standard 61 health effects requirements.

so, I am not seeing a issue or any documentation about the product or material leaching into water over long term...

anyone heard anything differant about it?

If it meets NSF health requirements it will be safe. I work in a restaurant and everything we use has to be NSF certified. I know that human and fish are not the same and we are tolerant of much more, but the NSF or National Sanitation Foundation is a reputable sign of health. Check out NSF.org for more information. I would use the parts myself. Good luck!
