kighting upgrade? i think so!

I currently have a 72" coralife 4-bulb CF hood. Normally a 4-bulb cf fixature wouldn't be sufficient for decent coral growth, and I wanted to go with a 10-12 bulb t5 setup, butttt the tank has turned out to be an aggressive tank that can't house corals, so now I'm looking at upgrading the lighting, but not such an extreme upgrade. I'm thinking either a 6-8 bulb t5 or t5ho set or led. Now obviously led would be optimum but if I go this route, ill have to patiently piece it together, with t5 or t5ho, ill be able to build it to completion within 2 months. Any suggestions would be apprecitaed , would a 6 bulb t5 work on my 125? I was thinking 2 12k's and an actinic on each side. Again any ideas are helpful

Also I am looking at workhorse ballasts, I noticed that t5's come in 39,54, and 80 watt bulbs......would 6 80w bulbs provide decent coverage?
