I just purchased a 20 watt zitrades led floodlight to use on my low to med light planted tank. It's a cool white, 6500k with 120 degree angle. It says on the box that there is no UV, or IR or other deleterious radiation. I have a 20 gallon long tank. And I'm either going to build a small canopy to elevate it off the glass or just put it directly cause it puts off a nominal heat value. Would this work in promoting plant growth?

You'd want this led to have some rgb's going too, just the white light will not promote great growth, atleast some reds will help...

They also sell a RGB one with a remote for about $25 too on amazon. So it would help if I used this and the RGB with the red light on?

No I couldn't get the PAR value. I'm going to try and email the company and see if they can give it to me though. What PAR value would I be wanting to be close to?
