Painting aquarium room

Hi all. I have a 90 gallon SW aquarium and a baby on the way. We decided to use the aquarium room as our nursery because the aquarium will make a good night light and also provide good sound at night to soothe the baby. We will be painting the room with a sandy color coming from the ground to the bottom of the aquarium and then blue the rest of the way up. What colors would look best to match sand and water? I will be using paint combinations from Ace Hardware.

Love it! I paired a minty green with sky blue and just repeated those colors. It was plenty busy with the frog musician wallpaper border I hung at chair-rail height. But yeah, bringing nature colors in is always terrific and you'll appreciate that built in humidifier when that first cold comes along. You can't go wrong with a soft, sunny yellow or a green if you want more color or a bark brown or boulder gray if you want to keep it more muted.

BTW, I bet the vinyl wall appliques in a seaside theme would be cute!

Great work! I know how hard it is to put up a level and straight paint line and yours looks perfect. The colors look wonderful together, too. Good eye!

I've got the vinyl stickers on one of the walls. I have 2 sets of fatheads ordered too. One will all 3 sharks and one with he rest of the characters. I'm excited about getting it done. Even have a few stuffed animals to hang from the ceiling.

Very cool! My sister is having a baby in April and they too are doing an underwater theme in the nursery.
