A friend gave me a bio reactor and am ready to install. I have a 29g and am going to use a combination of zeolite and carbon. I have bought everything except the power head. The only power heads I can find are in excess of 200 gph, is this to much? I need a smaller power head for my tank size and the rest of the set up is already big. Will this much carbon combined with an emperor 280 strip my tank of valuable bacteria? Also, I had to buy the hose and hardware myself as all I received was the canister. Any suggestions?

Carbon doesn't remove bacteria.

You should be able to buy replacement parts for the Phosban 150.

Zeolite is for removing ammonia, pointless in an established aquarium.

That powerhead is fine. Flow is not as critical for carbon. exact flow rate is important for GFO. If you find it is too much you can simply use a flow control valve.
