Putting Live Rock in CPR BAKPAK, good idea?

I'm thinking about putting some live rock rubble pieces in the window part of the CPR BAKPAK for a little more filtration. Would it be helpful or hurtful? would it be any different than putting the rubble in the aquarium itself?
