Tank building....

Well, I had the urge to check on what it would cost me to build my 300G rather than ordering it online.

Well, a little disappointment here, lol. I went out and got a quote at the glass shops here in town. Here's my results......

Buy from Glasscages.com, 300G Wide is $900.00 (shipping is 770.00 plus I have to drive 2 hours to get it, they won't ship all the way here)

Buy glass from town and build my own, cost is $1190.00 plus tax.

OUCH!!!!!!!

Man, that's rough. So are you going to build one?

I'm thinking about it. Since I can't seem to get them to deliver it closer, I don't want to have to to 2 hours away to pick it up, and still pay 770.00 shipping. Will see though. I've got an email in to glasscages to see if anything has changed. I noticed some major changes on their website, they are starting to put up an online storefront, where you can order the tank.

Good luck carrying the glass panels if you do build it yourself, they will be HEAVY, especially the end result.
