Hey guys, I have a question about my stand. I custom built a stand that would probably hold the wait of an elephant. I built it well out of 2x6's and and cross supports etc. Problem is I built it without researching tank dimensions. I built it for my 29g and what I thought maybe more in the future. So now im looking at upgrading to a 46g bowfront and the front lip would hang over bye 1 1/2 inches. Is this a problem?

Could i Cut a piece of 3/4" mdf to match the tank and put it on top?

That all really depends on how level your floor is. The slightest degree off and too much water or vibration from the floor could topsy turvy your tank. Some people may disagree but I would be safe and make a new stand. I always enjoy building things and I'm sure you did if you tackled the job for that smaller tank. Idk id be safe and build a new one or just modify the one you have to the proper measurements. GL
