I built an unorthodox stand for my 225 gal
reef tank. The top is made using LVL engineered lumber which is held together by truss hangers and 12 power lags. The support structure is made using 8 doubled 2x6 legs held together by 64 lag bolts. The base is 2x6 green treat lumber.
Do I really need plywood on top of this thing? I would normally not be hesitant but the tank is drilled so the plumbing would be a pain.
