is this a nation wide sale or somewhere locally? I have looked all over their site and cant find anything of the sort. I have a petco store near me (30 miles away) but I am not wanting to waste a trip up there if this isn't going on in my area.

Just at my local store in kcmo and confirm, nationwide 1$ a gallon sale. Tank only, wish I had money & three tanks is enough upkeep already.

I wanted to upgrade mine so bad...but I finally have my tank in a place where I want it. So I'm staying here for the time being.

Well if you want a lid then it can cost you up to 40$ . So that where it hits you. If you dont want a lid then it's a great sale for you!

Yea but I bet you got more than just a tank. The stand is a pretty penny as well. Did it come with accessories? And hood?
I have bought all my tanks through Craigslist or freinds.

The biggest tank you can get for $1 a gallon is 55g

I actually find it rather frustrating how cheap you lot over the pond can get tanks for.

The last tank I bought is about 40-45g and cost me £299 ($463) where it would have cost $40 over there.

It came with the stand but even so.....

Why is everything so cheap in the US? Or so expensive in the UK......?
