What makes the possibility of snails or other hitchhikers greater from plants overseas?

Yeah there coming from Taiwan. It said you get 6 rhizomes of anubias, each containing so many leaves, don't remember... Oh well, only paid $10.

I have had plants shipped from overseas with limited success. It might work out ok.

FWIW, my ONE experience w/ overseas plants was some java moss and eveything seems fine. No hitchhikers/snails etc and the package arrived in about 2 weeks iirc. That said, obviously java moss is pretty hard to kill.

Yeah, I've put java moss in a bucket and forgot about it under the tank for weeks... and it still lived. That's one thing I wouldn't be as worried about buying internationally. Anubias isn't really that bad either.

I get most of my plants from US venders like

Plantedaquarium.com
http://www.plantedaquariumscentral.com
And love all my moss from eBay from hong kong and china
Www.Aquamagic.com
And aquabid

You really have to get your plants from a few places because 1 place may not have everything you want. Then maybe you can get some nice plants people wants a you can do trades on here.
