That's a bit pricey. It would be much cheaper to try some things, or just ask for some suggestions on here. JMO

$20 for "land"scaling and then the price of plants, that I say I want to pay. To me it's not bad, since. MY brain is literally BOILED from researching so many different plants...so $20 at this point is almost worth it to have someone pick out the plants based on what I want the look to be and send them to me with a blueprint...I mint reconsider though.

I'll pay someone on here that knows their stuff to kind of create a blueprint specifically for my tank. I feel like I could buy all the plants I would want for a densely planted tank, but it wouldn't look nearly as good as others on this site...

Do NOT order from them. I ordered $50 worth of plants from them. It took about 3-4 days for them to get it here. When the plants got here the were really brown. I put them in my tank and they got a little greener but all died within a week. My setup was what they recommended for these plants to. I would never order from them again.

FWIW, I have ordered from them many times, and have always been extremely satisfied with what I received. Sorry that your results were not as good.

I would never pay someone for "aquascaping services" however. Trial and error, ask for opinions here, look at other photos, etc... that's the way to go. Half the fun of the hobby is to evolve your own skills and your own appreciation for what looks good and what does not. Setting up a new scape is 1 of the most enjoyable and rewarding aspects. I can't imagine paying someone to take half the fun away .

Or even worse, logging to the AA forum and seeing a new member posting their cycling thread and see your same exact scaping design. Lol.

I've heard bad things about their aquascaping service. Really bad. If you need help planning scapes we here can help and so can the many folks at TPT and APC and many other sites.

I've never had a bad order from them. I've stocked 7 tanks from them and my sister in law uses them now as well.

Personally, for aquascaping I rely on my husband's eyes. I have him sit across from the tank and as I place things, he tells me if it looks right or not.

I would never "hire" someone for that.

That worries me hearing that, I ordered some plants off eBay, and it's supposed to take a 3-4 weeks to get to me once they ship it

That is a LONG time for plants to go without fresh water/light/CO2...

Yeah... the seller has really good feedback though, so I don't know what to expect

Is it from someone in the US? or is it from overseas? I don't trust the overseas plant sellers, heard too many bad things.

I would imagine they would be LOADED with snails and hitchhikers if they came from overseas. Not to mention their condition after arriving without light for so long.

That's not really the issue. I don't know why a plant from overseas would have any more hitchhikers/snails than a plant stateside would, but that's beside the point.

The issues that i've read about are plants getting caught up or seized in customs, either never delivered, or delivered very late and very dead. Another issue i've read about is that they tend to send bare rhizomes, if you have ever grown a rhizome plant you know how long it takes for them to put leaves out.
