Big Al's first experience

on wed at 1am i placed an order of 156.93 a few minutes after I notice I forgot a digital therm, I started looking under my account a function were it would let you add to the order and found nothing. this ment that I would have to place another order and pay shipping and handling all over again 2 orders only a few minutes apart. so I emailed the whole contact us list and the persuit of call me or email me if need but please add this product to current order. today I recieved an email saying shipment has been shipped out, I just wanted to give out my first experience with big al's.

So, did they fix your order for you? Was it a good or bad experience?

I just bought my XP3 from them and yeah that didnt really happen to me... But yeah thanks for the heads up... their shipping is great... But sometimes you can find stuff like that from the LFS for cheaper and not pay shipping

If changes need to be made to the order call them. I've had to change orders three times in the past year or so and they have always changed them for me if I call before it has been processed. Normally I find the missing item as soon as I submit it and promptly call them. But one instance I called about 12 hours later and they still accomidated.

Did they ship the thermometer with the other shipment?

no they did not, all they said is sorry we read your email today and not on the morning of the order, but It should of been a back to back email within minutes I emailed them and so it is not worth buying it and pay shipping when lfs has it for less. I couldnt call them because I work from 530am to 10pm so there is no real time on that day, I didnt have alot of time to spent on a call so what I did give out my cell phone. maybe it was just a one time thing.

Just wanted to say something here - I dont know the inner workings of Big Als but am 99% sure that the email you sent via "contact us" and the "message" sent after placing an order were definitly routed to 2 different systems and 2 different people. Chances are that the order is sent to a warehouse inventory system and pops up on a screen, ready for workers to process and box up... while the email you sent is dumped in a generic Inbox that someone logs in during the day to read/respond.

I'm also not sure on another point... I wonder if you could have still called the number and left a voice mail - chances are that if that was possible, the order could have been altered before being processed.

Just some things to think of

ok maybe i am just an avid internet buyer but...y didnt u just cancel the first order completely, and then redo the order with the items u forgot?

and yeah most definately the contact us and the order go to two completely different systems, the order is input into a warehouse deliver system that just says what need to be in the box, how many boxes, and the address where it is going. the contact us is most likely just a regular email system periodically checked.

YOu can't blame Big Als on this one. YOu messed the order up. If you wanted it changed you need to call them to talk to them abotu it and get it changed right there and then. YOu say you can't call cause you work. Sounds like you maybe did nto want to call. I don't care the reason all I can say is that you can't expect that an e-mail is goign to get to people in time and you can't blame the store becasue they read your e-mail after the items were shipped.
