I totally agree. I have bought a lot of what I have from them and have been very pleased. I received my orders with standard shipping (very competitive shipping charges) in about 3 days. I feel guilty because I really want to keep my LFS in business, but they just can't compete. When I ordered a heavy item (sand) the shipping was only $2 more than standard and they called me first to make sure it was cool with me. For things like filters there is absolutely no better deal out there.

Thanks for the tip

I checked them out on heaters and they had the best price. I got the EBO-JAGER HEATER TS 200 WATT for my 55 gal. I'll give some feedback of my own after I get the heater and see how well it works.

I am very pleased with a level of customer service at bigal's. I have placed an $160 order there last week and they called me on Sunday(!) being concerned that I have made a mistake and ordered just 1 foot of background. Never mind the fact that their website is ambiguous about background cost; they called me to make sure that they did not send me just 1 foot! I am very surprised and pleased. Hopefully I will have my order shortly, cannot wait.

I have to admit that their prices kill any others I have seen, plus the poeple are nice. You know this is the truth when they screwed up my shipping making me wait 2 extra weeks (basically a month) to recieve my item. Though fustrated they are a good store, just still moping about not getting my desperately-needed filter for my tank with the two oscars

yeah but gringo isn't healing from his case of HITH and Monstro seems to be getting a bit worse - they are already too big for the tank, so when they get healed as best as they can I am going to give them away to a better home. At least I will get the filter tomorrow, parents shipped it.

I have ordered over $1000 of things from Big Al's. The only problem I have ever had is UPS lost one of my shipments. Big Al's staff was quick to help. As soon as UPS investigated the shipment it was replaced. I like to support my LSF also, but charity starts at home.

Just got my order from them today. Can't beat the Emperor 400 price. Took a while to ship though. I called them and they said they were redoing their systems, so I said okay. The wait was worth the great price. They were friendly and prompt to answer all my questions. I will be purchasing from them again.

They are slow right now, but the price is worth the patience.

I ordered on Tuesday, November 11th and they finally processed it on 11/15 and will send it on 11/17 if everything is in stock. They claim 24 hour turn around on shipments, but that's a bunch of bull. But I am patient enough to save this much money.

Update: They shipped some of it today ($460 out of $716). Which pieces...who knows. They won't get the sheets until 48 hours after shipment in their customer support, which is the same time they will know the tracking number.

Patience wavering...must see savings...can't get angry...

Yea, I got mine today. Missing an ornament my wife wanted. Least they could have done is let me know it was out of stock, then I could have convinced her to pick something else.

They don't know what they've shipped. They have 2 orders now due to the split. Not an order for $460 and an order for $256, an order for $460 and an order for $716. They are having UPS send back the $460 order so they can get this in order.

"MOST INSTOCK ITEMS ARE SHIPPED THE SAME DAY. PLEASE ALLOW 2-5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR DELIVERY DEPENDING MOSTLY ON YOUR LOCATION "

They told me there was nothing out of stock. It is now 252 hours since I placed my order, and the items are not even on their way yet.

Patience is a thing of the past. This sucks.
