Your outta control! Way to go! Those sound like good choices. Esp the Gertrudes. Nice review and testament of service considering the time of year (weather). I'm hesitant to mail plants.

Let us know how your badis acts. I hear they can be extremely shy. I had no luck with Gertrudes. Hope you do.

I have a M/F pair. While they stay near the bottom of the tank they're definitely out and about. They even surprised me with a little spawning dance the day after they arrived!

I know

I was back & forth on ordering until I was told they can ship tomorrow. I'm off to MI next week to visit college daughter; at least this way I have time to get them all settled in.

And you've scouted out the LFSs in the general vicinity I'm sure. I've done the same while making trips to visit my first born (luckily in-state).
I'm glad to hear of such good feedback considering the distance and time of year. If my LFS did not have what they had, I may have gone this route.

Is he the only male? I have been researching about scarlet badis. I really want 2 males on my 10 gallon. Not sure if its a good idea.

Two in a 10g might be ok if there are lots plants/hiding places. Would you have anything else in the tank?
