For all you people who live in Chicago like myself

There is a new fish store that is opening up in Hoffman Estates. It is called aquarium adventures and its grand opening is tomarrow. they said that all their livestock is 50% off up to a limit of 4. I am checking this place out tomarrow because not many places around me are this big and just into fish. if your in the area i wouldnt pass up this 50% off deal. From the pictures it looks like a great place that will be much better than the normal stores around here. I could probably spend a very long time there and im sure they have a much better selection than any stores ive been to already from the looks of the pictures.

ya that is about 30 minutes from me but hey for 50% off its worth the drive and sorry for the wrong forum an t-iasg. I hope to find some cool rainbows and a cool pleco to get the 50% on and they will have more supplies that i need instead of the stuff at normal stores. here they will have all the fish supplies i can possibly need, i hope.

its all fish coral and plants and thats good for me because i want a cool ornamental pleco and some cool rainbowfish that i cant find at normal stores and i can get a good deal on all those for 50% off and i need another test kit for my planted tank so that will be better than paying shipping for it

For anyone who's interested, Aquarium Adventures is a wholly owned subsidiary of Petland Discounts, Inc. We have one in these parts (Eastern Long Island).

I went there and while the prices might be expensive I got 50% off on all fish and plants and their fish and plant choices cannot be matched by any pet shop in Chicago. The place is enormous. Also their prices on filters, lights and aquariums with the discounts are cheaper than online or the same price. They even gave me a membership card for free. I bough some amano shrimp and some dwarf rainbows (all of them died within couple of hours). The amanos and celebs rainbows are alive for over 4 months now, but the tank that the dwarfs were in had to have some disease. It is agreat place to visit eventhough I almost have to drive an hour to get there.

If that store is anything like the Aquarium Adventure store here in NY (referenced by Jchillin), you guys are going to love it. I wouldn't think of buying equippment there because it is very pricey, but the livestock is fantastic and the prices are pretty fair.
