Instant Ocean Salt $53.80 AFTER shipping

I just placed an order for some more salt and I wanted to make sure others knew about what I felt was a good price.

www.thatpetplace.com has IO 200Gal buckets of salt for $36.80 plus shipping. The total cost for me to ship to VA brought the salt to $53.80 per bucket.

Now for some of you who live in areas where saltwater tanks are popular you might say I can get it for that price or cheaper locally. Well for me it would cost $70 a bucket if I got it from my Local LFS. If I was willing to drive a full hour I could get it for just under that price after tax but then I would have the expense of the gas I used.

ThatPetplace is out of PA so ifyou live closer to PA than I do the shipping charges could be even lower. Of course if you live further away than I do then shipping charges would be higher.

HEHE, www.thatpetplace.com does it again. Today I recived my salt order. If you notice the time/date stamp on this post and the first post you will notice that the posts are 1 day apart.

Did I pay for next day shipping? Nope!

Did I get it next day? Yep!

WHY you might ask? Cause unlike many of the aquarium online shops this store is based on the east cost. So for residents of the east cost you can look toward www.thatpetplace.com to get you your poduct quicker and cheaper.

So everyone knows I did order my salt yesterday morning and just got around to posting it yesterday evening.

I've always had good luck with ThatFishPlace. Next day delivery to NJ is common even though they say it takes 3-4 days to ship.

www.petsmart.com has IO for 34.99 plus shipping which I think, not totally sure, is 7.99. Good price too.

Very kool. I just ordered Salts from BigAlsOnline. 33.99 for the salts and 14.00 for shipping. Total of 47.99 per bucket. Locally it will cost me 67.99 per, so that was a good price. It took 3 phone calls and almost 14 days to get to me, but i ordered it knowing that it will take some time to arrive so i wasnt pressed. If you dont mind the hassle, bigAlsonlne has decent prices.

Best Price I have found for IO is Petsmart. As stated above, they do not charge a premium for shipping. Currently order totals over $50 is shipped free. Great deal.
