Lifereef.com -- Dual Overflow box

Well I finally got my overfow box today. Im so excited its been on order since July.

From what I understand www.lifereef.com is run by one or two people who fabracate all of the items avaiable for sale on that site (minus the pumps obviously).

Some items are in stock and some items are made to order. The owner of lifereef.com is very good with giving weekly updates on product lead times and also announcing who's products are shipping that given week.

I will take some photos of the dual overflow box when I get back to the house but I must say this thing is huge. I just hope I left enough room behind the tank for this beast. I seriously might have to replumb the return lines.

Well this beast is so big that I do have to replumb my return lines. Anyway I gotta get some more PVC connectors and some more teflon tape (not sure where my roll went off to) then I will be ready to fire this puppy up.

I probably wont fire it up till saturday as I do feel uncomfortable getting the overflow and sump running and then going off to bed or work. Just incase there are leaks or other issues I wouldlike to be around to fix them before it causes a major mess.

Anyway. Dont fear...I will have photos soon...

Here are the photos I promised. It was hard to get a good photo shot to show the size of this thing.

This is the intank portion of the overflow

Here you can see the two U tubes that take teh water out of the tank

Here you can see the outside portion of the overflow. The sponge's I have removed

The overflow measures 14" in lenght and is 4" deep on the outside portion. There are two 1" return lines and two 1 1/8" U tubes.

The entire overflow is made of acrylic except for the two bulkheads and the overflows.

Overall this is a very nice overflow for the price.

Aaron,

Thanks very much for the pictures... it helps a lot to see the actual piece of equipment and the setup. Keep us posted regarding your impressions.
