Opinion of...Live Aquaria?

Anyone have any personal experience with live aquaria.com? The have a huge selection vs. my LFS...I already have what my LFS gets in another tank and am contemplating ordering some stuff from them for my new setup...I digg the website for variety but I have never ordered live anything from the interwebs...how do they ship? Is it reliable? I just don't wanna get a bunch of dead plants at my doorstep lol

I've used Live Aquaria several times for my saltwater fish. I recommend them!! Very professional and great to work with. One of the best shipped livestock I've received and always healthy IME.

Used them several times. Never had an issue, awesome packaging and always arrives alive and healthy. Would recommend them.

I have purchased freshwater plants and fish from them several times. Great quality and packaging. But like all Internet stores, shipping is outrageously expensive. I always contact friends and see if they want to get stuff as well, so it is worth paying for the shipping.

They're a site sponsor... that should make them more enticing

I live near them, I have bought directly from them at their retail store and during the tour in February of Diver's Den. I brought home 2 peppermint shrimp. The drive is a little over an hour. One peppermint shrimp did not make it home alive, one did but died not too long after. They cost me 7.49 each. When I contacted them, they responded very promptly and credited my account 35.00 for the one shrimp. I didn't contact them for the 2nd shrimp because well honestly I made out on the deal. Very friendly and prompt.

I also had something on one of the corals I bought, sent them an email, they asked for a picture (in the same day) and I sent one, and they identified. All in the same day. So I would say their customer service is outstanding.

Their packaging is excellent.....even for my little drive home, those critters were not sloshing around.

I would recommend them to anyone and every. Hope this helps.

I love them ordered lots of plants and they all cane healthy. I dont think Live Aquaria itself actuAlly handled and grew the plants. It shipped from Florida Aquatic Nursery 10 min away from me.

Either way, theyre great.

They're pretty good. They stock tons of different species and have good info about each species. The only thing that has ever kept me from ordering is their shipping prices.

I like them. I just ordered a purple tang from them. If I can spend 179 for a fish, I trust them.. Lol... Also, awesome customer service. Very friendly.

I normally use Saltwaterfish.com for all my SW fish and corals. Although some have been very small, all have been very healthy. They have good prices and specials. I was thinking ordering from live aquaria for some Koi. Glad everyone is pleased with their customer service and livestock. Makes me feel better knowing I won't get some yukky looking fish. Lol.

Since I am from a small area, I have trouble getting what I need for my saltwater tanks. I have used reefs2go, saltwaterfish, liveaquaria...and some others. Liveaquaria's stuff is on point. In the same breath, some corals I've ordered from them have had some unfriendly hitchhikers. That with their higher price, I've been sticking with saltwaterfish.com. Over the last 2 months they have sent me larger livestock for half the price, though this would obviously depend on what you are ordering since liveaquaria has a vastly larger selection.
