I'm going to try the Bio-Spira again, but I think I'm gonna keep my tank medicated through this coming week to make sure that EVERYTHING that doesn't swim in that tank is dead, then I'll go ahead and get my gravel thoroughly vacuumed, do a 50% water change then add bio-spira. I wonder if I should change my Bio-Wheel??? hmmmm

They are decent size fish and I added 2 more 2 days after start-up so there were actaully 7 by the time I did my tests. I tested again today - still zero's - thanks.

Hi, newbie here. This is my first post. I am addicted to forums, and this one is the newest one of many. I have used bio spira 3 times with amazing results. I also order mine from Bernie at www.fishstoretn.com. He is the best! My latest use of the bio spira was a week and a half ago on a 100 gal. tank. I added the bio spira, and then added my 7 inch oscar, my 6 inch oscar, my 7 inch jack dempsey, my 4 inch jack dempsey, and my 8 inch pleco. They are doing wonderfully, and my ammonia & nitrites are at 0. I have yet to have an ammonia or nitrite spike! My nitrate level is at 20. My fish are very happy, and my jack dempseys have been showing spawning behavior since being in the tank! It sounds to me that you got some bad batches of the stuff. Bernie's supply is always fresh, and most orders in the US arrive in 2 days. I'm sorry you have had such a bad experience with the bio spira. It truly is amazing stuff when it's fresh and properly used. Once you get past this recent setback in your fishkeeping, I hope you give it another try on your next tank!
