The very unique product called Eco Magic Biological Filter

I purchased this product a month ago and I am delighted. I have a cleaner tank, healthier fish and have done minimal maintenance. I would recommend people looking into this product because it's the real deal. You never have to change the water again. I am telling you there is nothing in the market place like this. Check it out www.eco-magic.net

I just wanted people to know what is out there that I was told is a breakthrough in aquarium filtration.[/b]

hey

this is not a spam! I purchased from a supplier in NY City. I am posting it because I believe in it. I don't care if you don't believe me.

In a closed system, such as an aquarium, that is poor advice.

one word: scam. I wouldn't trust that any farther than I could throw it. Plus the fact that, when I read through their web site, I get the impression that the person who wrote a lot of that didn't even speak English as their first language...some of the phrases used are just...odd. (Addendum: just checked their list of "customers," and nearly all are in Tapei. That explains it.)

If this company is serious, I'd like to see them submit their product to any of the established aquarium magazines out there and submit them for testing by experts not in any way associated with the company for a comprehensive, independent testing and review. If they were to do that, I might believe them--otherwise, no way.

Ever heard the saying: "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is"

I think this saying holds true for this product unless, as stated above, it were to undergo testing by a independent, legitimate source. Just my two cents.

they don't even show a picture of the actual product. No water changes? That is an aquarium miracle.

joefish - If this legitimate, please post your water parameters before and after using the product. Just because you water "looks good" doesn't make it so. Since this goes against known practices and you do not have an established reputation on this site I hope you can understand everybody's skepticism.

I tried to add the product to a shopping cart... the billing info page didn't even load up a secure form for me! (Just wanted to test it out)

It seems like they have pics of the product contents... but I still wouldn't give it a go. You know how many diet sodas $115 would buy?

Eco Magic

check out the product on the website www.eco-magic.net If you have any direct questions, then the logical thing would be to ask them? It's not fair to have you all bashing the product. It amazes me that you post your thoughts on here but you won't email them directly with your questions or concerns about the product?

That's what this is, a message board for our thoughts, and usually if something sounds "to good to be true" then it is. I have looked at the "information" (if you want to call it that) provided on the web site. The problem is that although it says it will do this job it give no data or explaination how it's going to do this. The only way to "test" this product is to put it in my tank and I AIN'T GONNA DO THAT until I see some data on the actuall product.

joefish - I tried to give you the benifit of the doubt with my earlier post. The fact that you chose to ignore this request, just raises further doubt in my mind.

Things with the names "MIRACLE"or "MAGIC"in the products name usually mean if it does anything its a miracle and the magic part is how willingly some people will part with money-Anne

Or some kind of magic cream or pill that'll make you a 6 foot 10 inch basketball star... that would qualify as a "Miracle" product if I had any say in it.

I'd like to see some results please. How about a pic of it with you next to your tank with the product in use? Or possibly a picture readout of the water parameters? Heck... even a testimonial or two would help from other AA members with more than 10 posts.

What proof would we get by asking them directly? I have a feeling if I call and talk to them, they won't give me the "inside story" realistic view... they're salespeople... and sales defined as "persuading someone to buy something that they weren't originally considering purchasing" isn't the biggest reassurance when it comes to Miracles, Magic, or Harry Potter.
