via aqua, who are they?

is this the manufactorer for the Via Aqua canisters and pumps, or just a distributor?

I like their price (almost 1/2 of an eheim), and the design seems almost an exact rip-off of the eheim professional II series

I'm worried by the lack of information, and the occasional broken english on the website ... as well as the lack of a customer service phone number.
