I have never been inside of a walmart, but this sounds like it is a good thing.

I am moving this to the General Retailers forum. I'm glad that they are turning things around.

Yeah that is good, but whatsad for me and my son is just when we almost have enough for our 55 gal at walmart....they stop selling them. Now I'll have to save up 2 or 3 times the original price just to get it. It's heartwrenching for me. It makes me mad! grrrrrr. Oh well, at least they wont be selling poor neglected fish anymore. In the meantime, hope my little Michaels fish don't decide to start growing really fast!

AFAIK they are not going to stop selling equipment, only fish. But maybe I'm wrong.

Send a message via AIM to Lance M.

Wal-Mart is to cease trading in aquarium fishes at some of its US stores in response to consumer demand.

Wal-Mart would not confirm to Reuters exactly how many stores would be affected, but said that it was certainly not abandoning the aquarium business.
This is from the article. Apparently they are still going to sell fish, just in some stores they won't.

So, of a total of 3,900 stores located in the US, 3,200 will continue to sell fish.
