WARNING STAY AWAY FROM INTERNATIONAL MARINE LIVE ROCK
Guys-
I would NOT recommend Int'l Marine Live Rock to your users. I ordered 40 lbs. and the guy took my credit card info then informed me he would have it in a few days, after telling me he HAD it before taking my info.
What's worse - I ordered it on Monday and it arrived two weeks later; although it actually was in transit only 5 days, it arrived bone dry and dead.
That's what I get I guess for taking your advice and more importantly, buying over the internet.
Fellow aquarists - please heed my advice and stay away from these crooks online!!!
thanks

I don't get it. Did someone on this site recommend them to you?
FWIW many, many people, myself included, buy LR online w/ no problems. It's where you buy thats important.

I added the bold.
Maybe I'm just reading you wrong, but it sounds like you thought live rock that was in transit for 5 days wouldn't have any issues. Sure sounds like you had some unrealistic expectations on the outfit. Looking at their site, looks like you went for their free DHL ground shipping?
I bought my live rock online, and would do it again. But then, I also paid for airport/airport shipment and the rock was only in transit for 16 hours. I think it's one of those "you get what you pay for" things.

Uhhh... something is weird with the bulletin board right now. Sorry about the double post there, I was just trying to edit my first post - but it won't let me. Strangeness.

This is an interesting statement and I would be interested in knowing where and from whom did you receive the advice to use this retailer.
Secondly, if you did have a bad relationship with this retailer, it is between you and the retailer as others may have had a better experience.
This forum was designed for that purpose, to share our experiences with retailers.

Sorry for your bad experience. Have you contacted the business to work out a replacement shipment? The fact that this was five days in transit sugges to me there is an issue with the shipping company. Keep us posted on the resolution of this matter. FWIW, I have purchased LR and livestock online several times. All with good results. Insist on over-night shipping and be prepared to receive the package the next day. If, by the afternoon you have not gotten it yet it is time to get on the phone and let the business know. Also, insist on shipping conformation when the order goes out so you can plan accordingly.
