A fun obscure plant: Ditch Stonecrop

During winter the plant will create these pine cone shaped tubers in the mud or substrate. During spring these emerge into stem plants resembling pogostemon or a smooth mermaid weed. As summer progresses the leaves will broaden and lose their ability to submerge. Great marginal plant, or if you have CO2, you can even fully submerge
