Admin/Moderators

Not sure if 'we' are allowed to discuss this but I was wondering how the Admin/Mod system works on AA. How many of each are there, who appoints them, what powers do they have. Are they paid or is it voluntary. I believe it is a very demanding job. I don't want to start a discussion about any individual Admins/Mods, I am merely curious about the structure of this great forum......

Just one more question. Is it other Mods/Admin who appoint new Mods/Admins or do paid AA members have a 'vote'???
