hi guys,

Took my kids to the Aquarium of Western Australia (aqwa) the other day, great day. They've changed it right around in the last 10 yrs since i last went. My daughter kailtyn (3) soon got over her fear of sharks when she realised they couldn't touch her. Hard tryna take photos in the tunnel as i'd rather not use the flash down there. Not that it'd make to much difference I spose. but they say the've crammed 1200km of west australias coast into a little over 100metre tunnel.

Ejoy,
Matt

Those are gorgeous! How many hours did you spend there? I think I would end up being there a whole day! Thanks

suprisingly enough, it's the kind of place you'd walk around a couple of times and get bored of it. the tunnel has a conveyor running so you could just stay on there for a while, they feed the sharks at lunch time, do diving trips "dive or snorkel with the sharks" when people want to pay enough. also seals and a touchpool for the kids.
When you get a big group together they have kids sleep overs where everyone sleeps in the tunnel under all the fish and sharks.
Used to have dolphins but they were released back into the wild, I think one keeps coming back every now and then.

glad you like and if your ever in aus, gimme a call :)

Matt.

no freshies whatsoever. only species found on the wa coastline.
but if you head up to ningaloo reef you can see around 80% of these fish in the wild, from experience...

Matt.
