Hello I have a peace of what I believe is driftwood.. Well I'm 99% sure it is driftwood. But I got it in the woods there was a lot of it and was pointing up words twisting and spiraling. Look to be roots of the tree.

But I took a lot of it to use as decor around the yard and it has sat outside for about a year. It seems rotted in some spots and soft.

Would this be okey in a aquarium if I was to scrub the rotted wood off ?

I don't want to buy drift wood because pet smart by me doesn't carry aquarium driftwood they just have driftwood for lizards, etc. But it isn't cheap. I would post a pic but I don't see the option to ?

Looking forward to you response!

I'm not sure what type it is... There where very tall trees and the driftwood was near the buttom. I would go look but the spot is about a 1/2 mile away and there's currently 2 feet of snow so it would be difficult.
